Visiting...

Drove down to Talihina this morning to get my hair cut. Looks a lot better. Stopped by the Choctaw day care after that and dropped off a flyer and some leaflets for the blood drive that is going on over August 19th and 20th. Was able to see where my "baby" sister works and visit with her for a few minutes. That was nice. Then I came to her and Robbie's (her husband) house to visit him and Sierra (my 3 yr old niece). The girl cracks me up!!!! She is in her bedroom right now building a "house" with wood scraps that her daddy Robbie gave her. Took some pictures of her doing that for her mommy to see. She is just such a little go getter. She is now in her little western style dress building and playing with the wood. Oh yes, with her piggie tails that she wanted so she could look like a reindeer!!! She is a one of a kind!!
Okay, new subject. I have been thinking of growing my hair out and letting my natural color come in in all it's glory. Yep the grey should shine real bright!!!! Have told a few people that I am going to do this, but don't know if I am truly strong enough to let myself do this. After all I am only 36 and my hiar is REALLY, REALLY grey!!!! School starts in about a month and my hair is going to take time to grow the auburn color out. It is going to look horrible for a while and I don't think I have the patience to wait it out!!!! I guess we will see. I have a box of medium golden brown that I bought about 3 or 4 weeks ago and right now it is at work in the cabinet so I don't give in and color my hair by myself!!!! *sigh*
All right I will get off of here for now and I may head back to Wilburton soon. Though, I am having fun watching my niece draw her foot (well a very loose interpretation of her foot, hehehehe).
Everyone have a great day!!!!

Just Tired!!!!!

Was a struggle to stay awake on the way up to Tahlequah this morning!!! Of course, it didn't help that I lost a few hours of sleep last night due to the storm that started in the middle of the night!! Thunder woke me up and I realized that there was a down pour going on. When I got up to go to the bathroom I thought I heard running water, so I turned on the kitchen light and looked into there and the back hall. Low and behold the back door was WIDE OPEN!!! The water I heard was the rain coming into the back hall. I went back and shut the door and put a broom in front of it to hopefully keep that from happening again and then I cleaned up the lake of water on the floor. So one of the first things I did after taking a shower this morning was to start a load of laundry so that the stuff I soaked up the water with wouldn't mildew.
Because the storm was so intense I turned the T.V. on and started watching a movie to distract myself. Fianlly got to sleep again, but felt the loss of those couple of hours when I finally decided to get up at 5.
Left the house at 6 and got to Tahlequah just after 8. Drove here in rain all the way....I AM SOOO SICK OF RAIN....we are beyond soaked here and trees are falling because the ground is so wet and branches are breaking becuase they are so water logged....ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!
Why can't it be more spaced out instead of 19 consecutive days of it?!?!?!
Okay, deep breath, now I have vented and hopefully I can stay awake on the drive home!!!! We will see. Was hard to do coming up here becuase of being tired and the gloomy weather. But have done it before so hope I can do it once more this semester!!! Would really stink if I fell asleep on the way home from my last day of school for the semester!!!
Well, everyone try to have a good day and Will write more later.!!!!!

Hectic Weekend!!!
Had a good weekend overall...
Graduation took place on Friday at the Field House at 7 pm on the EOSC campus. Was a humid and sunny evening. Wore to blasted many clothes for it under my gown. But I looked good dag nab it!!! Took tow hours and we were done. Got to walk across the stage and get my cover that will probably never hold the degree that I am going to get in the mail about August 1st. That is gonna hang proud and loud on my wall!!! Worked hard for it and am going to show it off. Oh yeah, I DIDN'T TRIP...very important to me...dreamed that I was going to do that. Pretty typical kind of dream don't ya think?!?! Hugged a whole bunch of people that are now important to me as we all went through it together!!! That means my fellow graduates and the staff and instructors!!! I will miss EOSC, but am glad to be moving on already.
Ya know, when I started going to school I had such fear about not making it!!! When I got through there and moved up to a four year college I did not have that same fear. Well yes I did just not to the same degree. But after a semester here at NSU I am overcoming and I know just where I get the strength to do that and it is from my Heavenly Father, GOD. He has brought me to the place that I am at. He put me in the house I am in and the church family that I am privileged to be a part of. They all encourage me and help me to keep going!!!
Mother's Day was hard. When the mother's were asked to stand, I wanted to run. But Darinda, my Ren, practically pulled me up. I know that I am a mom even though Jenni is living with her biological, real, mother. I raised her for a good portion of her life and I hope that the things I tried to teach her will bear fruit and make her life fuller. I love her still and always will and I will always be one of her moms. We went through Proverbs 31 verse 10 on. About a virtuos woman. What a wonderful, wonderful message. Kevin assigned a homework assignment to us. We had to look through the verses and pick which ones pertained to our mothers. I liked that homework assignment. I really made me think aboutmy moms. I won't go into all of it here, but I think that I gained a new appreciation for the women that molded me and and helped me become the woman that I am today!!!
Finals week is here and I have one down and 4 to go!!! My next one is at 11 today and I am as ready as I will be. Then I will go have luch and fill up the two hours until my last class of today. Gotta find Summer and see if we are still going to Chili's for lunch. We will see. Need to make sure that I find her on facebook if I haven't already. Need to keep in contact as she is a nice young woman and I treasure my friends (even though I am horrible about keeping in contact!!!).
Well, better stp this book for now and check a few other things!! Everyone have a great day and enjoy the sunshine (if it is sunny where you are at...if not then enjoy the weather for what it is)

CurrentlyWindows and WallsBy Mark HarrisOne True Godsee related
Time is marching on...and on and on...
Tomorrow marks another in the many steps that I am taking in my education!! I am graduating from EOSC (Eastern Oklahoma State College) with my Associates in Psychology.
I have already started going to NSU up in Tahlequah where my major is Psychology with a minor in Management. I look back and I am amazed at how far I have come. It is encouraging to me to see this. I know because I have come this far that I can make it through whatever comes my way!!!
I started college while raising my daughter (niece) and homeschooling her with her fighting me every step of the way, working almost full-time at Subway and also after the first semester I also had a work-study job.
Had a lot going on, but I have made it this far and am looking forward to keeping it all going. I am not raising Jenni anymore, I have switched jobs, and I am not doing work-study anymore. Though I am driving 2 hrs one way 2 days a week!! It is all worth it...
I have wonderful friends here in Oklahoma, in Minnesota, in Colorado, Pennsylvania, my mom and Angie in Florida, and as far away as Sweden!!! Love them all and am so glad to hear from them either here, on my blogspot ( www.dogtiredstudent.blogspot.com ) or on my facebook page!!! I have a myspace too but almost never use it!!!
There have been a lot of changes in the last 2 1/2 years, and not all of them have been great, but they have all happened and made me stronger and more determined. I miss my daughter, but I will not let a teenager tell me what to do and I wish for the best for her and hope that she knows that I love her very, very much and my door is open to visits from her.
She has a lot of choices to make in her own life and I hope that I helped to get her ready for that! I did my best to raise her and to teach her to be a young Christian woman and I hope she remembers all that. According to her xanga she is reading her bible and praying and that is wonderful. I want her to stay in the word and I hope that she is a doer not just a reader.
Well, better get on off of here and go see Diamond over at Mitchell again!
Everyone have a great day and I will blog again soon!!!!!

Gotta Get It Done!!!!

I am waiting for my mom to send me pictures to put in a scrapbook that I have to do for my Psychology of Infants and Children. I found one picture at home and I know I have more it is just a matter of finding the Oreo cookie tins that I have them in and making sure they are pics of me from birth to age 12. The picture I found is of me when I was 9 at Chritmas. I was actually pretty cute and very blond!!! That would explain a whole lot, believe me....
Will look harder for them when I get home from the library here at EOSC (Eastern Oklahoma State College).

Big day coming in about 2 weeks. I will be walking across the stage and graduating from EOSC. I am very excited about this...though a little scared. Have already been going to NSU for a semester and it is going pretty good, but is a bigger campus and I am still learning the ropes up there. Here at EOSC I had no problems as it is a small campus and I had a workstudy job most of the time I was here, so learned my way around quickly.
It amazes me everytime I come over here how many people know me and want to know how things are going and share with me how things are going for them....it is wonderful.
I have more friends than I could ever count and I count that as a monumental blessing!!!
Better go check my NSU e-mail and see if mom has sent those pics yet. If not, I will be back early in the morning to check again. I would like to get this done this weekend if at all possible!!!
We will see...after all I have procrastinated this long, what is a few more days, RIGHT?!?!?! EEEEKS!!!!
